We almost won our parlay from last week’s game with everything hitting except Jahmyr Gibbs surpassing his receiving yards total. That’s in the past, and it’s time to bounce back after a brutal parlay loss. This time we'll keep it simple and I'll give you two best bets ahead of tonight's Thursday Night Football game.

Eagles -6

The Eagles are making their home debut for the 2023 NFL season and are looking to shake off the rust from last week. After sitting out the preseason, Philadelphia's starters have now played their first game, and I believe they will dominate after a close game last week. The Eagles convincingly defeated the Vikings in a primetime Monday Night Football matchup last season, and I anticipate the Vikings will struggle to get their offense going, much like their previous encounter. Minnesota also lacks a strong defense, while Philadelphia boasts a wealth of offensive weapons that will be difficult to contend with.

Alexander Mattison Under 48.5 Rushing Yards

Alexander Mattison is coming off his first game as the lead running back for the Vikings, where he carried the ball 11 times for 34 yards against a solid Tampa Bay defense. The Eagles' defensive line is arguably the best in the entire NFL, featuring veterans like Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox, as well as young studs Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter. Expect this defense to clog up running lanes and make it tough for Minnesota to establish a running game. It remains to be seen if Mattison can fill the void left by former Vikings running back Dalvin Cook, but if he has another subpar game tonight, his team will face an uphill battle against the Eagles.
