Wizards (2-2): 105 - Thunder (2-2): 89
In the absence of Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams, the Wizards were able to take advantage of a short-handed Thunder team. Washington’s Johnny Davis had his best game yet this summer by scoring 22 points, and rookie Bilal Coulibaly stepped up with 19 points and 4 blocks. Even though the Thunder lost, Jared Butler had a team-high 22 points and shined in a bigger role.
Clippers (3-1): 102 - 76ers (1-3): 91
After being down at halftime, the Clippers surged their way to a huge second half. Kobe Brown was very impressive, putting up 35 points by making 7 three-pointers. What’s even more impressive is that Brown shot a jaw-dropping 70% from behind the arc. The Clippers stay hot in summer league play and have now won their third straight game.
Knicks (2-2): 97 - Celtics (1-3): 89
The Knicks managed to win their second game in a row after starting 0-2 in Las Vegas. New York got off to a great start, holding a 19-point lead at halftime, and the Celtics were never able to recover. Charlie Brown Jr. took control of the game offensively and filled up the stat sheet with 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, all team-highs. Trevor Keels also contributed with 20 points and a +19 plus-minus score.
Mavericks (3-1): 112 - Pacers (2-2): 91
Jaden Hardy did not play for the Mavericks in this game, but it didn’t matter as they blew out the Pacers. A.J. Lawson rose to the occasion for Dallas, scoring 24 points on an astonishing 10-12 shooting. Lottery pick Dereck White also had a solid game with a near double-double, recording 9 points and 8 rebounds.
Nuggets (1-3): 112 - Heat (2-2): 81
The Nuggets secured their first win of the summer and dominated the Heat. Hunter Tyson shined for Denver, scoring 31 points while going 7-9 from beyond the arc. One of the main reasons the Nuggets played so well was because the Heat rested many of their usual summer league starters. Julian Strawther also contributed with 23 points and 6 rebounds for the Nuggets.
Pistons (3-1): 79 - Spurs (2-2): 73
Ausar Thompson had another big game for the Pistons and led the way with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Thompson has been playing well since Jaden Ivey hasn't been handling the ball primarily. For Pistons fans, it's great to see their lottery pick shining, and it looks like he will have a bright future in the league for years to come.
Jazz (4-0): 97 - Suns (1-3): 93
Johnny Juzang stepped up for the Jazz in the absence of other notable Jazz players. He scored 24 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to help Utah stay undefeated. Luka Samanic also played great for the Jazz, scoring 22 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Ultimately, the Jazz were able to take advantage of a weak Phoenix team, helping them maintain an undefeated record in summer league play.
Grizzlies (2-2): 100 - Lakers (2-2): 69
The Grizzlies came to play on Friday and completely dominated the Lakers in Las Vegas. David Roddy led the team with 21 points on 8-11 shooting from the field. Jake LaRavia also stepped up for Memphis with 20 points and 5 rebounds. However, the biggest difference in this game was the Grizzlies' three-point shooting, as they doubled the Lakers' three-point percentage.
