Cavaliers (2-0): 99 - Raptors (0-2): 76
The Cavaliers were always in control of this game and outscored the Raptors in every single quarter. The Raptors made half as many three-pointers as the Cavaliers, but they attempted a similar number of shots from beyond the arc. Isaiah Mobley led the team with 15 points and had an astonishing +23 plus-minus. Emoni Bates also contributed to the Cavaliers' success with 12 points and 8 rebounds.
Lakers (2-0): 93 - Hornets (0-2): 75
The Lakers have been a very impressive team in summer league play so far. Their rookie, Jalen Hood-Schifino, managed the game well with a 5:1 assist-to-turnover ratio and also scored 15 points. However, he was not the best player on the court for the Lakers. Colin Castleton filled the stat sheet with a double-double, scoring 21 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. This young Lakers squad is looking solid, and I can't wait to see them once the regular season rolls around.
Nets (1-1): 98 - Knicks (0-2): 80
After being down at the end of the first quarter, the Nets put their foot on the gas pedal and dominated the rest of the game. Nearly every Brooklyn starter finished with double-digit points, with Armoni Brooks scoring a game-high 21 points. Nets newcomer Jalen Wilson also shined with 18 points and 8 rebounds.
Rockets (2-0): 113 - Pistons (1-1): 101
Jabari Smith Jr. is easily the frontrunner for Summer League MVP after his performance today. He had a complete game, scoring 38 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and dishing out 6 assists. Smith Jr.'s fellow second-year teammate, Tari Eason, also contributed on the offensive end with 26 points and 9 rebounds. Houston newcomer Cam Whitmore scored 21 points as well. If this young core continues to shine, the Rockets have a very bright future ahead of them.
Wizards (1-1): 103 - Celtics (0-2): 98
The Wizards were able to bounce back and get a win in a close game. Ryan Rollins led Washington in scoring and assists with 17 points and 9 assists while also going a perfect 6-6 from the free-throw line. On the other hand, the Celtics' Julian Champagnie recorded a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds in their loss.
Trail Blazers (1-1): 85 - Spurs (1-1): 80
Victor Wembanyama came out with a vengeance tonight after a subpar performance in his debut. He had a monster game, scoring 27 points on an efficient 9-14 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds while also blocking 3 shots. However, despite Wembanyama's outstanding performance, the Blazers still secured the win. Michael Devoe stepped up for the Blazers in Scoot Henderson's absence and scored 29 points.
Hawks (1-1): 98 - Nuggets (0-2): 93
Recent Hawks' first-round pick Kobe Bufkin shined in this game, scoring 17 points and assisting on 6 baskets. Nuggets rookie Jalen Pickett also had a good game and led the team in points and assists with 16 points and 5 assists.
Pelicans (1-1): 94 - Warriors (0-2): 86
Pelicans guard Dyson Daniels was impressive today and came close to a triple-double with 17 points, 15 rebounds, and 8 assists. The team was also helped by Dereon Seabron, who scored 21 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, and Jordan Hawkins, who scored 16 points. On the Warriors' side, Lester Quinones led the game in scoring with 26 points.
